Volunteer in Policing
The City of Stanton and the Orange County Sheriff's Department are looking for good men and women who would like to volunteer their time to assist the Stanton Police Services.

Volunteers give law enforcement the opportunity to reduce crime and increase law enforcement services. If you are interested in contributing to the well-being of your community, come join the VIP Program.

Explorer Post 449 was created in January 1959 as the first law enforcement Exploring program in the nation.

Explorers receive training in drill, report writing, patrol procedures, finger printing, crowd control, traffic control, accident investigation, form completion, building searches, bomb threats, felony car stops and criminal law. They attend a weeklong law enforcement academy that includes classroom instruction and rigorous physical training. The academy prepares Explorers for participation in the Sheriff's ride-a-long program.
